Nah,.. if the screen bezels were red, it would frame the lcd screen. With the black bezels the screen appears larger than it really is when the device is off (makes it seem like it continues to the edge of the glass).

Trust me,.. the red borders would look tacky. Pootermobile (I think) came up with renders like this and I have been hoping BlackBerry made it reality.

Plus,.. the real thing will look much better than a 100x100 image. Images of the Passport have never done it justice.

The red color so fantastic. However it would be perfect if the top edge of screen is in read color as well. Not really match up if it's in black color and other parts in red.

It's cool. Teaches me to be an early adopter. But I'll probably just pick up the red keyboard in a few months and do the replacement myself if I REALLY want one.

Passport on Wind

First of all duo-tone is the way to go for Passport. White one should have been the same as the red one with black screen borders.

Second I find it weird they would change to duo-tone unless they saw the fan concept on the boards here that nailed the duo-tone right. So I guess someone has inspired them to do the right thing.

This is incomplete Red Passport, should it be red on the top where the logo is? As well as the edges on both sides. I would not consider one if it the way it is.

I think it looks great! I was on the fence about getting the Passport, but now I think I might have to put this on my Christmas list.

The black screen/glass looks good. A completely red Passport would look tacky in my opinion.

Might look better with black buttons and red letters on the keys. Similar to the Pootermobile yellow render someone shared with us above.
