A friend of mine who works at OEM for BlackBerry, just told me that BlackBerry is about manufacturing red passport. The ETA will be sometime in Dec. According to him, the Intel is pretty solid, and while I am waiting for my back-ordered passport,i an thinking to cancel the order and wait for the red one. Any thoughts?

I prefer red...bumpers....except NOT on a Passport since it covers up that beautiful stainless steal

If and when this is true I'll sell my black Passport and get the red one. But I'll have to be 100% that it is in fact true.

There was a pic, probably photoshopped, of a Red passport. All I can say is I wouldn't buy a Red one, I do have a Black Passport on order, but my wife, who saw the Red Passport, immediately said, "I want that". The photoshopped Red Passport that I saw did look very very nice. Like I said my wife would have one instantly, and my daughter said she'd take a Red Passport too. We are a BlackBerry family, from the Pearl on up, I have the Q10, waiting on a Passport, wife has a Z10, & daughter has the Q5. Supporting Blackberry during the good times, the downtimes, and now hopefully the good times ahead again!

Just talked to another former long BlackBerry die hard friend, he suggested that red variant usually is exclusive to Verizon network. It often is called "big red." is it true?

just googled a pic of the red passport...omg does that look like a trainwreck.....stick with the black or white...or even better...add the gold where the stainless steel is, it looked amazing

I personally missed all black, I love it from first time I seen it on a picture. Cannot really understand why they didn't keep scheme from Q10 - white with silver and black with black?
