After having multiple issues with this passport it finally died on me after having it for 3 months.

ATT decides to order me a new one. I got it over nighted.

As soon as I take it out of the box it looks like the upper right hand corner of the screen is already going to start lifting. Just pushing on it slightly with my finger it feels super soft.

    What would you do?

From some of the horror stories I have heard here on Crackberry, I'm starting to wonder if there will be a lawsuit against BBRY for selling refurbished devices as new.

Some people have clearly received used devices when purchasing new ones.

I have always said there should be a lemon law for electronics. The money we she'll out compared to the grief is wrong!

I don't think it's BlackBerry but maybe ATT repairing them and or not doing anything and repackaging them as sealed units.

Maybe that warning should be stamped on all of the boxes that came with BlackBerrys.

I've gotten refurbished items before and I don't think this was refurbished. I'm going to let this one ride for a bit. If the glass lifts enough to the point the front cam gets filled with dust like the last one ill be asking for another.

Does anyone know if there's a clause in your agreement that if you have to replace said item a number of times you can break your contract, at least with the brand of phone or something? Sorta like a lemon law?

You shouldnt wait, there might be a clause stating after a certain period of time that they only have to replace with a refurb! Why take that chance. I believe its in my agreement from my provider after 30 days that they can do this. Just depends on ethics I guess

Return the device and ask for a replacement before your return period expires.

Going by complaints here. Return ASAP. Check the new one, that includes turning on, before you leave the dealer.

I just purchased a new Passport that was actually a used/refurb unit: scuff on metal frame, incredibly poor packaging, fingerprints all over device.

Just return it and roll the dice again.
