My device quite easily drops it signal to SOS call only on this OS build which is disappointing

Has anyone else experiencing same problems with dropped signal?

Haven't seen any other threads about dropped radio. Try hard booting your device and see if that fixes it. Otherwise I would reload the OS via link after you have done a back up of your data

If you're phone is in SOS mode it means there's absolutely no coverage or service at all and not that the Passport antenna is weak. Check your network connection and make sure it's set to all network technology. If you don't have LTE and HSPA coverage in that area yet at least it will fall back to the first generation GSM digital network.

From the carrier coverage Map I should have a strong 4G signal outdoors but inside I float between one bar and either SOS or now showing 'not connected'

I had the same annoying problem of frequent call drops on my Air tel 3G with settings as shown above. I changed that to 3 G only and the issue disappeared. I am on a 3G data plan.

Have you tried the SIM card in a different phone? It could be a bad SIM card is a possibility.

Interesting I learn about your carrier they use such a high band frequencies 2100 for HSPA and 2600 LTE. This just means that the towers can reach far but can't penetrate through buildings well. That's why your floating on 1 bars indoor. On the plus side though they have a future plan of LTE 800 soon so that will help with the building situation better.

I'm in the same boat with my provider which supports 2100 LTE and the building coverage is crap because as soon as I step into my house I lose 2 bars instantly. So I keep my network to stay on HSPA 850/1900 at all time. That way I don't drain my battery fast on weak LTE signals.
