Every so often next to the battery icon top left corner of home screen I get two bars which look like a pause icon about the height of the battery. Any idea what it is as I could find nothing in the manual.??? It stays for a while then disappears

Are you listening to music and then pause? Are you watching videos and then pause it?

Any apps that play media?

Any of those will bring it up if paused.

I am not listening or using any media player at all.
I checked the running processes at the time and no media player is running
Seem to appear at random.

Could be an autoplay embedded video in the browser, that's when I seem to see it.

I've noticed this the last two days as well for the first time. It is confusing because the icon does not appear in documentation I could find. I just now intentionally paused a YouTube video in the browser and there was the icon. So it is a video pause icon.

If no media player is minimized. Then try to see if you have the browser minimized. The pause icon just indicates that an app is currently playing media and is paused as of the moment.

No it's not nfc. But I also have this happen at random when there is nothing opened. Browser closed no media opened just have to restart because it bothers me just sitting up there taunting me for no reason lol.

I've just seen the pause-like icon for the first time. It coincides with my first video - one someone sent me on a Whatsapp. So it makes sense that the icon is somehow connected with the video, though I am not aware of having paused it. It's been there all day and hasn't gone away yet, though perhaps when I delete the video eventually it will disappear. As long as it's harmless...

That's what it is from my point of view. I am a Jalopnik fan and whenever I go on their site there's the little pause button. I hate that, but I just lower my media volume and ignore the videos.
