I bought a proximity sensor and replaced the one in my Passport. Now it works fine. Sometimes I think the sensor just needed to be reseated. Anyway in the meantime I bought another Passport cheap that someone didn't know how to setup. Now I have a backup Passport.

I took mine apart and cleaned the sensor and put it back together. Cleaned it with window cleaner. Works like a charm. Check out youtube vids for dismantling. Ps, Make sure you don't touch the sensor with your skin. Use gloves.

I had that too on my old black passport. But cleaning only helped for a while and after that it didn't work again. Had to clean once every week. On the silver edition I had other problems, the sensor disconnected and I had to restart the phone.

Now my new bought SE doesn't have any of these issues.
