Proximity sensor on 10.3.2.2474 miscalibrated
I've noticed that for awhile now, my Passport's screen tends to remain on during phone calls, so that my face may accidentally dial numbers or mute the call. The workaround for this would be to just use the lock key to shut off the screen.
BlackBerry Virtual Expert, when testing the proximity sensor, seems to say Near is always a pass, and Far is a fail. However, when I repeat this test in very bright lighting conditions, the proximity sensor passes both tests.
Is anyone else having this same issue? Is this a software bug? If it's a hardware thing, I don't have the proximity sensor window covered by anything; the screen protector is not directly on it but around it. Maybe screen protector application solution (by Ghost Armor) got into the sensor and made it less sensitive, hence why it only works in very bright light? Help!
