My proximity and light sensor which won't light keyboard in dark, was not working and I reloaded the OS and did many reboots and resets and I thought this is a hardware issue and suddenly after one day a random reboots fixed this two issues . Both functions are working 100 percent

Now what I don't understand is this hardware or software issue or the problem is just temporary solved and will come back after another reboot

    I think it's a software that's overriding the settings.

I had a similar problem after I uninstalled PocketSafe, then had to 'reset' the brightness level, etc.

Hi OP. Mine usually does this when a new OS is loaded. And it will do it here and there for a few weeks. I just keep doing a hard reset and it fixes the problem. It has been many week now and it hasn't done it since and no hard reset required. If you loaded an OS, give it time to settle and it might work. Otherwise, I'm not sure what else to do. Good luck and I hope this works for you.

Restarting the device solves the issue and all sensors comes to life again but this is just temporary solution. I don't mind waiting I just wanna be sure this is not a hardware issue

Try draining all the juice out first. Then charge fully without switching on the phone, to 100 and then switch it on. It should work.

I'd recommend running an autoloader and starting fresh to see if that resolves the issue.

From my experience if it's software (and if you're lucky) you can get this to work but not for all the sensors. Report back so others will know your exp, OP.

The light sensor totally works after reboot the proximity sensor worjs randomly so is this a software issue, I mean if sensors are damaged they won't even work after a reboot
