    Hi, smart ladies and gents.

I can't properly setup Proton VPN on my BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition. I have followed manual posted on their website, but something is wrong. Those who use Proton VPN know that there is a separate login name (and password) other than protonmail if you want to activate Proton VPN via option other than native protonvpn app. Another thing that confuses me is a server name. I put, for instance, nl-free-01.protonvpn.com . Maybe it is a wrong server name. And yes, I have imported ProtonVPN certficiate.
So, I kindly ask the experts in this matter to give me detailed steps in setting up ProtonVPN via IKEV2. Thank you in advance!

I would suggest to come in contact with the ProtonMail support. I had a similar problem trying to connect to my company's account (which is hosted by Microsoft; microsoft Exchange, Office 365 etc). Even if the BB10 supports both pretty well, when it comes to an enterprise account, it doesn't work. Why? Because it needs an intermediate step of encryption/decryption and that is not available for the BB10.
I am afraid something similar is happening to your case...

Proton VPN has an android app. Assuming you can find the apk file I think that might be your best bet.

Proton VPN works really well on my keyone and I really enjoy their services.

On my previous bb10 I used protonmail app easily. But that was prior to VPN launch.

    Good luck!

I had hard time setting up vpn and the catch was that I put https:// in the server addresses.

Maybe it's the same issue with you?

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions. My remarks for each of you is given below.

    1. Will contact Proton support, I guess.
    2. As far as I know android VPN apps don't work in BlackBerry 10.
    3. I enter server address without https://.

I guess that I have found why I can't activate protonvpn on my BlackBerry. I do have free Protonvpn account and therefore server address is should be in the form ip address. And for proper ip address one has to turn to protonvpn support service. I have sent them my request few days ago, but no response yet.

I got the app directly from ProtonMail as I was an early adopter.

You can try apk mirror or similar sites that are recommended on crackberry forums.

If I come across an old device that has it I will reach out to you and see if I can send it direct to you.

You can choose between free server addresses, such as:

    nl-free-01.protonvpn.com
    nl-free-02.protonvpn.com
    us-free-01.protonvpn.com
    us-free-02.protonvpn.com

But it is important that Gateway Auth ID to be exactly:
    protonvpn.com

If you can't get Proton VPN to work
PureVPN and Torguard both offer IKEv2 but: you'll have to pay for it.

Send from my Blackberry Passport somewhere in space.
