Ok so the long and the short of it is, after deciding on the PP well-over a year ago I finally rustled up the funds. Went for white, it arrived, bought new from an eBay listing in the UK which said "Ship from UK"

That's a lie, I later found out it shipped from China, but delivery was relatively quick (within 10 days)

It had a fault though. The Z and the X keys weren't pressing down. Decided to give it a day to see if I could live with the problem, which might be possible, but I've got two letter X's in my name, log-in processes were problematic. But of course, by this time I'd gone through the Blackberry ID processes on start-up.

To be fair to the seller they're saying all the right things. It was up to me whether to get a refund or replacement with a new phone. I'm going to opt for the latter.

Whats the score with things like Blackberry ID and BBM Pin and all that kind of thing. Do I have to close those accounts somehow and restore the phone to factory settings? Or is that information set in stone now?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Just do a security wipe before you send it back, and when the new one arrives you use the same sign in.

Should he not turn of BB Protect first then do wipe?

He's returning that phone and getting a new one. So he should be OK with the new one as long as he signs in with the same id

Emm, well it's been packaged up now. I did the security wipe though then it just switched itself off.

You sure there's nothing else I need to do? I took my sim card out (which is a Pay as you go sim), the actual unit hasn't latched onto my number or anything has it?

Ten 4, I'll probably duck in here and let you's know the new one arrived safe.
