Come on guys.. what part of this suggests a price drop coming anytime soon? The 2011 Bold 9900 is still $399 on Shop BlackBerry in 2014.

The Passport will be sold at a premium for quite a while, I'd bet.

Expect a price drop around mid-cycle, likely 10-12 months from now...maybe add a black Friday or boxing day special to that. I'm going by the price drop of the Z30, which came around 10 months into the phone's release.

Exactly. Then they should consider a phone they can afford. But why does it have to be at expenses of BlackBerry's profit? Why should we expect a price drop on a great developed product, which BlackBerry invested a lot of money in R+D, designing and manufacturing? They are in business to make money. I am against lowering prices because it destroys value.
