    I got strange issue.
My Passport Original disconnects once in a while from my new Ford Mondeo BT system.

    OS: 10.3.2.2789

Could it be radio issue? Anyone else noticed unstable passport BT?

Wife's Q5 with latest official has no issues at all :/

hmmm. will try 2474 radio. maybe will improve.

Search the threads, quite a few Passports had faulty Bluetooth. My first one did. The replacement works perfectly.

Just got a replacement from BlackBerry to replace my lifted screen on my old one. Now finding out bluetooth doesn't work. Don't feel like sending it back again.

hmmm.. need to try different radio :/

interesting that when it connects, it connects for half an hour at least. and then suddenly SYNC2 shows that it has disconnected, however, BT on passport indicates that it is still connected.

And it reconnects once in a while
    very strange behaviour.

OS PassportSQW100-1/10.3.2.2789 actually fixed the issue you described. What I did was a clean install using the autoloader without restoring anything.

You're going to be waiting a long time for a fix. Smokeaire and I are veterans of the BT wars from earlier this year.

My advice: send it back now. It's a hardware problem in most cases, and not fixable by any OS updates.

If upgrading to the latest OS and radio doesn't solve the problem, then you need a replacement. Isn't the warranty a year on the Passport? Also, if you are in the US and bought it with a credit card, you may have an automatic extended warranty. Where did you buy it?

I don't know if your UK based credit card has an extended warranty, but if you've determined that there's something wrong with the Passport, start to negotiate with Amazon for a replacement if you're within the one year warranty on the Passport. First they'll say to go to BlackBerry, but tell them that BlackBerry says to go to the seller. That's exactly what I did with my defective OG Passport for its BT connection problem. It took a little bit of escalation with Amazon, but they are basically customer friendly, unlike some other sellers. In all my years of dealing with Amazon, I've never had a problem that wasn't resolved to my complete satisfaction. They may not treat their own employees well, but they do treat their customers fairly.

Yes, although I suggest you call them if you can from the UK--may be easier and quicker to negotiate with them by phone, escalate, etc. Tell them that BlackBerry says the seller has to deal with the warranty.

    hrrr

Amazon was somewhat strange... basically - sorry, cannot start the return procedure due to glitch in system. please buy new one, send us old, we will compensate postage costs?! lol. never answered back to me.

while I am on the emails/phone with Blackberry support for a week now. sending logs, etc...
they noticing that my OS version is a bit higher than officially approved by carrier (like that would mean anything, as phone bought from amazon US, where carriers approved current OS version).
