Does any one know if software exists that turns off both camera lenses till you want to take a picture? Hacking through the camera is a worry. I always tape over front facing camera but as I always take photos of nature (have 3500 pics on media card) its a pain to cover the rear facing. Couldnt it be an option in security/applications?

Never heard of any BB10 phone being hacked.

Unless you install an app and give it permission to use the camera I think you're ok.

Very nice photos man, when I briefly had my PPSE, the photos looked worse than those from the Classic!
Maybe something was really wrong with it..

Anyway, I wonder how you even get so close to the butterflys! Maybe they're fans of the Passport

Thanks for the comment man! I am a devoted entomologist and macro photographer (with proper SLR equipment), so I have the experience how to photograph butterflies. Furthermore, I had two cats and learnt quite much from them how to get closer to the target! Passport's camera is capable, I admit it is poor under low light conditions and that's when Camera++ gets involved. I use both the built-in app and Camera++ depending on the light conditions and if I need to shoot action macro (Camera++ burst mode is not adequate enough for my needs).
