Most recent software on the Passport. Sometimes when I click the power key, the OS will think it a long hold and the shut down screen will pop up. But it won't continue past 3.

    Anyone else have this issue?

Hmm . . . it appears that Passport is NOT different from the other BlackBerry 10 devices. Please refer to

I think my Z30 works with the same logic.

I've had a Q10 since launch. I know the basics already. With the Passport, I've been getting the occasional bug where, when I go to lock my device by quickly tapping the power button, my Passport will think I've held down the button and it takes me to the shutdown screen (obviously I haven't held down the button). It doesn't persist with the shutdown countdown for more than one second on the timer.

    Was I not clear?

Sincere apologies. The power button of my Passport has been functioing properly (like those of Q5 / Q10 / Z3 / Z10 / Z30) . . . the power button of your Passport might have a physical defect when assembled at factory, I suppose.

Haven't put mine down since I got it Monday. That hasn't happened, but I'll post if it does.

My bad couldn't tell if you were giving me a hard time or not. My Passport does have a metal band defect and a replacement is on the way actually. So that could very well be the issue as the defect is apparent right next to the power button.
