I noticed this problem with the Q10 and noticed it with the Passport now as well.. if you press on the top right area of the screen and more the back of the phone top right are you will hear a loud creeking noise almost sounding like a weak spring or something.. I'm on a Rogers passport anyone else noticing this??

There was another post regarding a similar issue that I read during the earlier days of Passport's release but it seems that the issue is pretty uncommon. However the person who posted the issue later fixed it by tightening the screw under the sim/sdcard tray around the affected area...

Top right on the back is partially hollow due to the top back portion being removable , hard plastic. More than likely just the plastic cover creaking a little.

Mine seems totally fine. I noticed something similar on my Z30 but the Passport is extremely solid.

Nothing on mine, if you want you could get it swapped if you bring it into Rogers but it's a non-issue unless you plan on holding the front and back together tightly from the top very often lol

You're right it's not really an issue but I was just wondering if others are experiencing it

A lot of BlackBerrys squeak. I've had them in devices starting with the 9700. Sometimes they go away over time as the materials seem to break in.

I had a similar problem with my Q10. However, when I needed to disassemble it to replace the screen, I noticed that the squeaking stopped after I finished the repair job. I think the problem is that some screws aren't fully tightened out of the factory, which allows the screen to move up and down slightly, creating the squeaking noise when pressed on hard.

It really isn't that big of a problem. I mean, it's not like the phone bends or anything.

I lucked out. I don't have such problem. Phew.
I reformatted my PP and everything has been working niely. Keyboard glows in the dark. Turn it up side down to trigger the screen switch to power saving mode.

My Q10 has this problem but my PP is totally rock solid. No squeaks or cracks or anything moving. I really love the build quality.

Nope. One small thing I noticed was while charging, if I pick up the Passport, there a very faint bit of static electricity! So far it's running very smooth and cool.

I can appreciate that you do not want to have such a poorly made, defective product, so in the spirit of making sure you will no longer have complaints about the PassPort, I will take this ugly, POS off your hands......and it will only cost you a little.

If you press on the top right area of the screen and more the front of the phone top right the front facing camera takes blacked out pictures.

    Anyone else have this problem?

This might be the dumbest thread I've ever read.

I found a possible manufacturer's defect on my Z10, Q10 and Z30. And iPhone6. And Galaxy devices. When you smash the screen off the pavement, it busts.

A loose spring in a device without springs - nice.

Here's how you can fix the defect, it's a one step guide:

    Don't squeeze hard there.

What situation will the phone be in where it's squeezed hard there? Seriously, I'd like an answer.
