lol wasnt the launch supposed to be early september? Yeah September 24th is reallll early. No wonder we havent seen anything go through the FCC for Verizon its because this thing still has a while before its even out.

September 24th is good news for those of us worried that we have not seen much evidence of a CDMA version hit the FCC. It's still too early is the launch is at the end of next month. Yeah, I want' it sooner. Waaaay sooner. But at least this gives me renewed hope that I can get it at all!

The announcement has zero to do with a CDMA variant - FCC - timing for filing. This announcement pretty much means you won't see the GSM version Passport released until mid-October or early November... nothing else.

I was expecting a much sooner release for the Passport, so the fact that it's not happening until the end of the month means a lot less as far as the lack of CDMA variants hitting the FCC. There's still time!

I can't speak to the US or other parts of the world but when the Z10 was announced I was able to buy one here in Canada 6 days later. I assume or at least hope the Passport will be same or better. I haven't fully made a buying decision yet, but I hope to have a retail demo in my hands to make the final decision regarding size by October 1st.

I don't think you understand what were saying. No one said that the event is pushed back because of the CDMAs. Simply that the fact that the event is so far away means there's still plenty of time for one to show up in the FCC

Guys the Q2 is scheduled on the 26th. So the launch of Passport and other news two days earlier is not a coincidence.
