    I have no problem with an integrated port, as long as you can charge and output at the same time.

    If the standard charging cable included with the phone has a HDMI connection on it, then I'm all for it.

    If you can carry HDMI cable with yourself you might as well carry this http://www.netgear.com/landing/stream/tv/#push2tv it's not that expensive and it works like a charm. No need for power adapter either just plug to a USB port on TV.

    Personally I despise cables so WiDi/Mirracast/Airplay are a must for me

    Even though I agree with you, the future isn't here yet, my friend. I would guess that HDMI-capable TVs still greatly outnumber "smart" devices. There are solutions like the Netgear push2TV, but that may not always be feasible yet (cost, availability, know how to make them work, etc.)

    I think it's dumb, but I'll go with it. The hdmi out on my Q10 slightly (but very noticeably) distorts video content. So I don't use it much. A micro hdmi port is more useful for power users.

    Who needs petro powered cars when clearly Teslas already exist? They exist like miracast exists but its nowhere near as practicle as a physical connection.

    With Micro HDMI you don't need an adapter. Walk into any large supermarket open 24hrs pick up a �6 cable and watch anything from your device on any HDTV.

    Or not if you need an adapter and there isn't one available. Let's hope you don't have a problem the night before that big presentation tomorrow.

    No, after researching more about MHL I can see that it has gone far so I don't mind using it when ever I'm not using miracast
