I'm sure it's going to come in somewhere between $600 and $700. Though given the components I could see them deciding to price it higher.

I hope for BlackBerry's sake, they price it at $600. I'd pay up to $700 for it though.

you know for sure the CARRIERS are going to hike it up to 749 and 199 on a 2 year contract just to give BB a bad rep again.

Although it is better than iPhone, it has to be priced lower than iPhone.

    Pricing like Z30.

I hope they launch it at $350, and demand drives it up to $599. Or, they can just do like the Z10 and Z30 and do the reverse. One of those makes for good press.

That's what it'll be. But it will totally ruin the phone's chances of mainstream success.

If they really want to sell it at a premium price which for this premium device then the marketing team needs to either get utterly fired and replaced or they seriously need to get off their asses as bring up premium marketing. Look what samsung did with Ellen

Sorry, but they are going to have a hard time attracting a high number of buyers selling it at premium price. BlackBerry, with its pricing, is living in the past when they were the "must have" device.

The competition is too fierce today and even in the enterprise world they are loosing ground.

Albeit the passport clearly isn't designed for the mainstream market, it could be a great alternative for people.

In the end I agree they shouldn't give it away but st the same time, pricing it at the iPhone 6 level isn't a smart move. Even though they aren't competing against Apple, it's still a matter of perception.

Here's another way to look at it from a marketing stand point. I'd the price is too low then it loses the "premium" factor and is perceived as low value. So being a top of the line new BlackBerry my guess would be around 800-950$

The way BlackBerry prices it's units in India it will be nothing less than $800, which is close to about INR 50,000. Right up there with the likes of the iPoos and the S5

I am hoping for the factory unlocked version at 499.00 US which would be a fair price for me. Has to be better pricing then the iPhone 6 or it will sit and collect dust, seriously folks. If Blackberry wants to get a nice OS10 device into the hands of the business and consumer world, this would be the right way to do it. Just my two cents.

In Canada, it should be the same as previous first day offerings by BlackBerry. $139-$199 on contract and $600-$700 outright!

I agree with the 6-700$ price range. Much higher than that and they price themselves out of the game. People pay that kind of $ for devices daily (in north america). If they want to take back some of the lost market share, with an exciting new device that I think "regular" people will like, as well as the professionals that it seems to be marketed to, then reasonable price point is critical. Too high and it may not catch, too low and you lose the upper crust business clients.

500 will get this beauty to a lot of consumers.. if they price it at 800 then they are out of touch with reality.. I'll stick w my Z30 if they price this more than 700
