Because the current version doesn't support Android 4.3.
Are there any updated cobalt files for android?
No, but I was referring to the app you're searching for.
well, I found cobalts files and I have play store version 6.0 which is the one that is offered.
The apps you are SEARCHING for won't work on the ancient Android Runtime on BB10 (which is Android 4.3). That's why they don't show up on a search.
Last year I was able to download Kiwi browser- which doesn't work well, Pinterest and a signal check lite. So all these and all others have quit supporting bb10 since then? So, Play store is not good anymore for BlackBerry. Ok, I got it. I Uninstalled it. I am waiting at this time for my new Cosmo Communicator! Hope to have it in a couple weeks. Android. Anyway, I liked the passport but will move on.
Kiwi should show up, but perhaps there is a regional restriction.
Open Play store, click apps button and then search the apps.

That's what I did but no apps are listed- just some books with similar names.
Use Yalp instead of the cobalt apps.

Play Store will only display Apps that will run on your phone. If you can't see it, its not their.........lol
Well, upon downloading the 'cobalt' files and installing play store last year it was working and I downloaded a few. Some others did not open but now no Apps show up in the store except some books.
For the reason explained above. The apps themselves have gone past ART 4.3 so it’s a no go.
search for apps that are updated less often like 'calculator' if nothing shows up there is something else wrong than a minimum OS version.
Correct it will show related books when u search as u open the playstore, just click on (apps) green button, let it load, then search your apps in search.
Or like Conite said use Yalp or you can also try moddroid.com or apkpure app.

Yes, I reinstalled play store after deleting it and saw that I was not cliking on the App button. I was just typing into search at top and of course finding only books.
Just install Yalp and delete all of the Cobalt stuff. Problem solved.
Thought I'd put the OP's updated first post down here to show they've solved the problem.
