Saw a post in the KeyONE forum about the possible tech ban in planes. I'm 99% sure the KeyONE is fine, but that got me thinking. What about our old friend the Passport?

Explain your rationale for thinking this.

I believe that the Passport IS too wide and would be a device that the ban targets.

The ban is for anything bigger then a cell phone. It is only for flights from about 8 different countries coming into the USA . There are bigger phones then the Passport so I wouldn't worry
Your PlayBook would probably have to be placed in a checked bag but the Passport could go with your carry on bag

Doesn't affect the Passport but the rational for the ban from those countries flights into the USA is pretty dodgy. If there is a risk of a laptop being stuffed with explosive why let it go into a checked bag. Just have a dog sniff it and then boot up the device for those affected flights.

I agree. The threat is just moved from one part of the plane(cabin) to another (cargo hold). Still the same plane.
