Hello, i used autoloader to update my bb Passport silver edition to 10.3.3 and the Phone pin changed. Îs there a way to have the old pin back? Also, i have encypted my card and i'm not able to access the data after update, is there a way to access the data? Thanks a lot

Firstly I thought the PIN was tied to the phone being a Blackberry rather than an android or ios device so I wouldn't think you can change it unless you pay for a custom PIN.

I think you are out of luck with the data on your SD card as once you run an autoloader the encryption keys are lost, so unless you have a backup the data is gone.

The phone's PIN can't change by autoloading an OS. It's hard coded into the hardware.

Assuming you're talking about the 8 digit alpha-numeric device PIN.

And m3ach is right about the sd card. If you didn't decrypt it prior to loading the new OS, then you just lost everything on it. Might as well toss it in the trash.

Unfortunately, the phone PIN changed. I can send a print screen from my bb protect where it shows the old pin (os 10.3.2) and the new pin i got after updating (10.3.3). Is there something i can do about it?

I'm not sure how custom PIN's work but this is the only thing I can think of which may allow the PIN to change on the face of things as joeldf is right the PIN is hard coded to the phone hardware.

Good point about custom PINs for use in BBM. But since I use neither, I can't help there.

However, that's different from the device PIN, and I've never heard of the OS changing the device PIN in the 7 years I've been on these forums.

Do a search, and I'm not the only one saying it can't be changed.

Regarding the sd card, is this software good for something? - Elcomsoft Phone Breaker (Windows). I am willing to pay for it if i can get my card data.

Not sure, this is Blackberry security we are talking about, it may just be a waste of money unfortunately, but if you need the data I guess it may be worth asking their opinion whether they may be able to recover the data before you pay them?

If you remove the top piece of the back which covering the SIM and SD card area, there should be a small label with original PIN, IMEI and some other number on it. You can see if that PIN differs from the 'new' one.
