Focusing anything that's moving is still not the Blackberry's strong suite. It's frustrating that they cant seem to put a decent camera on their phones. The Passport takes great still shots but forget it if you want to take any kind of action shot.
I love my Leap and Passport SE, just wish they had a faster camera on them.
I got a dumb request... not really sure if it goes here or not. But it's a passport photo.
I uploaded two photos taken in the middle of the night but with decent lighting (I was filling up gas).
The one with the car in it was taken with camera++ and I played with the exposure setting to make the colors "darker"
The one without it, I took with the default camera app with default settings.
The default one is a bit "over exposed? (unsure about term)" It is brighter is what I'm saying. But why is this a bad thing? I think it looks nice as well. I like how both turned out, but I don't have an eye for photo quality so what do I look for to make it better? Between the two, which is is "better" in terms of quality? I didn't want to make an account at a photo forum (I don't even know of one actually).
The other photos are during the day using default camera (so everything is up to camera to decide). Is there a setting I should try out that you guys would recommend? I got the camera++ app so I could manually set zoom (sometimes auto focus would jump out of focus before taking photo), but I feel like I'm not using it properly. I am pretty much happy with default settings but my photos don't look as good as the rest of you guys'.
if I should post in a photo forum to learn, what one is good?
edit: and I realize my hands kind of shake when I take photos, so the pictures come out fuzzy sometimes, it's always been like this for me even on normal dslrs. Phone just magnifies it because lens is closer to hands?
I saw this site http://expertphotography.com/a-begin...o-photography/ but it doesn't tell me how to decide if a photo is "good" or not. I know if I want to focus on something, that should be "clear" but what else do I look for in the rest of the photo? Part of my problem is that it looks good on the screen so I assume the photo will turn out like it, but it doesnt. And I'm not sure why it isn't.
Passport take nice picture. Big issue is focus time. Nobody wants to wait for focus to be good. I asked someone to take my pictures but they could not manage.
Passport is my last BlackBerry.
