I just use 1:1. More often than not, if I'm taking pics from my phone it's to send them to Instagram. And in that scenario, with 1:1, you don't have to crop them at all!

Protip: 4:3 ratio offers the largest frame of the three available offerings. You can then crop to 1:1 or 16:9 using the edit function.
