My phone as a result of IT policy is encrypting the phone and card.

The phone encryption was done in minutes

The card is not even 50 percent done and it's been 2 days!!

    What is going on??

Now if I upgrade the OS to 10.3 when it comes out, can I just overwrite the one on my phone or do I need to decrypt?

I can't decrypt as the policy automatically sent by IT when I loaded my work account via MS exchange took control of policies.

Talk to the IT guy and have him disable it for you so you can get your stuff off the SD card.

Once that's done... Well... Guess you better not put personal stuff on that device again.

OS updates have no holdo over IT policies.

OTA updates I believe retain encryption keys, I am not positive though. Hard to think BlackBerry would willingly provide an update process that would destroy the users contents knowingly.

Of course, goes without saying to contact your BES/MDM admin for clarification.

The autoloader obviously destroys those encryption keys.
