Maybe it's a bad memory card but I need help ASAP! My phone seemed to delete all the photo's and videos that I did not edit after I noticed that when taking my pictures today, all photo's were broken except the last photo I took. Please tell me how to get back my photos!! Thanks. By the way I saved them on a memory card and yes I should probably get a new memory card now.

There have been previous reports of this happening to forum members. In fact, it happened to me (z10) as well recently - though I can't put my finger on exactly when. In my case all photos gone and most music. The music had been on the device for months unchanged, so it wasn't anything newly written. TBH, in spite of many claiming it to be faulty SD cards, I suspect an OS bug.

The data will be inaccessible by normal means, so you'll probably need to take the card out and use recovery software on it. In this thread, Joshu42 suggests Recuva, you could try it. By the way, stop using the card immediately. Anything written to it could potentially overwrite something you want to recover.

I haven't used Recuva but there appears to be a free version.

Try restarting your phone first. Sometimes the index gets messed up and they appear missing on your phone, but a restart will cause a refresh of the index.

If you can boot camp the free windows 10, I would do that and then use it to run Recuva. This is why I have everything back up to OneDrive and Dropbox. I don't trust the phone to not die randomly.

I had this happen once when I had a SD Card formatted as FAT32. From then on I've used exFAT and haven't run into that problem since.

Title should be "sd card deleted my photos. " Don't buy cheap sd cards if you care about your data... or at least make sure to backup.
