My guess is this came from the protective plastic they ship in. There would be an area round the logo where the plastic does not touch the back. Only a guess but think it will go in time.

For such a beautiful and top quality product, I wish they went with a real leather back (similar to Bold 9000). I really like back for that phone. I still use it time to time and no damage or scratches after 6 years. I like it more than the back of Bold 9900.

Mine has this also. I had also mentioned in another thread that the quality of the back material isn't that great as the corners on mine have started to wear away after only a few days of use.

I wonder if BlackBerry will change the build quality in the next manufacturing run. I just had my Q10 replaced with a unit built in June 2014 and it seems like a better constructed device on several fronts.

it's sad...i would ask for a replacement but i m worried to get back a unit with screen, keyboard or other issues as some users noticed in other posts...so maybe i m going to live with that halo...at the end...that's just a plastic part of the phone...

I don't think it's actually wear. I had the same after a few days. When I was wiping down my screen with a screen cleaner, I wiped the back as well. Looks new again. I think the back material just shows marks too easily.

Maybe I'm lucky. Haven't had any issue with the back, even had something scrape on it that I thought for sure would leave a scratch but didn't. I keep it in a fleecy pocket or beer cozy most of the time when not in use tho and I wipe it on my shirt all the time so it keeps looking clean .

I got it laminated on day two of receiving the passport,with just one day of use and feel of the rubber material on the back I was sure of it wear nd tear and cuts.believe me lamination on the back gives it a glossy finish and protects it from wear.
