I agree with your argument, however the 1020 has a 1/1.5" sensor. The Pureview 808 (previous phone to my Z10) had the 1/1.2" sensor :)
If cpw was correct in the add about only a 10mp camera I'm going to be frickn pist. Specs do help sell phones!
Posted on my Z30
HTC one M8 has only 4 mpx. Its not about the mega pixels buddy.

But its htc buddy, BlackBerry still haven't come up with that technology in their phone camera

Its okay snowflake. Dont worry, all will be just fine.
The Lumia 1020 has a 41mp camera and the 1520 has a 20mp camera. Both didn't sell good at all. Besides it seems like the unit CPW filmed was an early device with different hardware.
Maybe they have! Maybe thats why they went with 10mpx instead of 13mpx, if true at all.
My point is more megapixels doesn't mean its better.
Does my 24mpx full frame nikon D610 take better pictures than a 41 mpx nokia lumia 1020?
Oh why yes it is in every way possible.
Its about camera sensor size, quality, lens optics, the image processor and in a big way the software. Megapixels is the least important factor.

That's true. Top of the range Nikon and Canon cameras, the Nikon D4s and Canon 1Dx, have 16 and 18mp respectively, and are brand new 6000$ cameras.
Small sensor with a lot of megapixels only take good pictures in bright sunlight, when's not bright sunlight, despite having a lot of megapixels, their image definition falls appart
By default, the current BlackBerry 10 devices have never used the whole 8mp for the pictures (the default pictures are cropped/16:9).
The passport is probably taking pictures in 1:1 or 16:9 and only appearing to be 10mp. You have to change the aspect ratio to 4:3 in order to get the full pixel count.
But I didn't do the math so I could be wrong
This! More than half the time people take pictures indoors or at night.

So we have an f2.0 lens with a **** slow autofocus but then again I haven't tried 10.3.1 on my passport yet.
Can anyone confirm what we ended up with? Is it the Sony 135 sensor as discussed earlier?
