Guys,

I am just learning to use this thing and this morning it wouldn't turn on...took me 15 tries. Does this thing need to be sent in and fixed?

Also how do I move all my photos and videos from the phone to my media card?

I was pretty upset as I thought I might have lost all the pictures of my kids.

When you connect your phone to the computer via USB, does the computer recognize it?

I never turn the phone off. Plug the phone in at night and put it on Sleep mode.

it is possible but remove the back and put it back on making sure it closes all the way around. this happened to my z30 and it was because the back was not closed properly.

What did it do the first time you pressed the power button. The Red LED light should come on but it takes a few seconds before you see the BlackBerry name.

Wow. How about we show the OP how to transfer his pics from device to SD card before we tell him to reload his software.

Open file manager
Touch the bottom left three horizontal lines
Select media card
Then you will see folders named camera and photos and how many items in each folder
You can either long press on a folder and select 'copy' and go back to device and paste it there, or you can go into the folder, long press a photo, select 'select more' and as you are selecting the items you want to move, the options will show up on the bottom bar, copy or move.

Yes you can. If you 'move' the item it will also remove the item from device.

I copied and pasted....thanks man. Had I lost those pics I would have been crushed. I have some pretty big health problems and my kids are my life.

Usually the first time open the camera app, it asks you to save all photos to media card. Did that not come up?

It come up and I decided to use the internal storage. I didn't anticipate something like this. In hindsight I should have chosen the media card

Same thing happened to me yesterday. nothing worked unit I did a reset using the volume up/down. Its almost as if the phone was on but the screen did not want to light up.

My phone does not turn on. I have tried several times key button and volume down and up but still not working. Have tried to connect to mac but it does not recognise it. Any idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
