I bought a PP SE for the wife as a Christmas gift. She will be totally new to BlackBerry so I'm nervous about her not liking it.

Any suggestions on what I can do to help with this gift?

Maybe start her off with a classic first. Passport was kinda hard for BlackBerry ppl to get used too let alone a noob lol. If she does like it, just be helpful with tips n hints. Just show her the Hub. Add all her accounts n she'll fall in love

just scroll with the keyboard... works with me when i introduce it to someone not familiar with the passport.
Also you can get her a flex shell or similar depending on what she likes..

Add a nice leather cover/flip case, red I would say.
Then not much to to do, if she's into social apps, she wont like.
If she's into communicating, most probably she will appreciate it

If you have been married less than 5 years, try adding a $200 bottle of perfume. If you have been married more than 5 years, try adding a set of stainless steel pots and pans.

Steel pots and pans? Isn't that a little insulting..

Just curious, if she's into to social, why wouldn't she like the Passport? It's got the main apps doesn't it?

I am married to same woman that I married in 1969. If I had given her Pots + Pans at ANY time, I would be living in dog house with Snoopy,if he would let me!

Depending on how dependent she is on social media apps, you may want to preload some and set up homescreen groups.

In terms of offering real assistance, you may want to copy a few links to "how to" videos from youtube and paste the links in a word document for her to click on as she learns To use the phone. Get a charging dock or use a Z10 charging dock if one is available, a protective case or she'll and a superior bluetooth headset. That should work well!

Install Google play. Install all apps she uses. Prepare well migration of her data. Force her to get trough installed self-training. Offer to replace by other phone if she doesn't like it.

You're missing the point. You say to her that she should use the pots and pans or the PP whichever she prefers. I'm sure she will just love the PP.

Well, facebook app sucks! It shows a very very limited number of updates in the news feed, among other shortcomings.

    Agreed

Also, as others have mentioned. Preload apps that she commonly uses so she does not need to worry about using Amazon or Google Play.

The os is very fluid so I think she will like it. She can always side load android apps or use amazon store if android was what she used prior. The biggest problem for some people with the passport is the size. Does she have large hands?
