Passport went for a dip....whoops!
I don't know why some of us test fate, but I brought my Passport out to the hot tub because I was expecting a call. As I was getting out, I sat it on the folded cover resting on one half of the tub. I told my husband; 'Please don't close my phone into the tub, I'm going to have a shower, and I'll be right back to get it', as I had other things to gather up. Well no more than 10 steps later I heard a yell and then I saw him diving into the water. UGH! Seriously!?!? :cant-watch:
He felt really bad but we both figured it would be ok. Put it in a bag of rice overnight and then did some research on how to correctly deal with this. I ended up taking the back cover off and lightly dabbing the areas where I saw water. Wiped over some areas with a very little amount of rubbing alcohol and then let it sit for about 4 days in a very dry environment.
Today I put it back together, and it wouldn't turn on. I plug it in and the red led light comes on solid....
Left it plugged in for about an hour...same red light, no worky!
Is something wrong maybe with the battery? Can I replace it and if so, where is the best place to get one?!
Has anyone had the same thing happen to them?
:crying:
Thanks in advance!

Usually when a device has been moisture damaged, the manufacturer will not repair them. I have dealt with this on a Nokia and an iPhone that got water damaged.
I did the rice trick and tried drying the device out, in the end, I ended up biting the bullet and buying another device.
I have seen folks advertising that they can fix water damaged phones, but I haven't known anyone who has had it done with any success.
