I was pretty set on the Slider until I received my Passport. Although the Slider will likely have a better camera and performance, the Passport form factor has really grown on me. I can't go back to my Z30 without feeling the long skinny screen being awkward to look at.

16x9 is just a mediocre aspect ratio. Gotta hand it to Apple for sticking with whatever the iPad has been rocking since its inception (4x3 I think).

Looks like there was zero imagination and zero creativity involved in the design of that thing. If Android is all that phone has going for it, not enough to convince me. Looks like BlackBerry could use the services of Jon Ive.

I don't know what it is but I prefer watching videos on my Passport over my Galaxy S6 :/ I think it has to do with how I hold the device and the feel in hand even though I'm watching it 'smaller' it doesn't seem to bother me like I thought it would. The screen is very high quality not as pixel dense as the S6 but it's just right.

I really appreciated the revived design of the Passport Silver Edition, but was waiting to see what the latest BlackBerry Flagship would be.
And was surprised that the Venice wouldn't be rolled out for BlackBerry10.
So my mind was kind of made up for me.

The only thing I do not like about the slider is the keyboard does not have the silver frets that we have come to love about blackberry. Seems like they really do not want to associate bb10 with this device. Other than that, I find the device looks amazing. Especially the back when it is in the open position. Looks awesome!! I will get this for my wife and I will stick with my red passport.

The slider is the only device that's given me phone envy after rocking the passport for 10 months or so. You can keep your notes and g4s, this is the first android device I have wanted in a long time.

Good riddance to the silver frets. They're just plastic painted silver, and they look cheesy. Interesting point though, I hadn't even noticed they were gone...I wonder if you're right about disassociating with previous handsets. The overall build looks very much akin to the rest of the bb10 lineup however.

Before, I was rooting for a slider as I loved both my torches, but then I got the passport... there was still a small chance I could give the slider a shot although i'd suspect it wouldn't be able to beat my passport, and then it got known the slider will be running android... so I will surely stay with the passport, no question....

I like the Passport better as well. I'm rooting for the ability to autoload Android on my Passport.

I never owned the old Torch (that was the one with slide out keyboard, yes?), but I would rather have the keyboard always available.

Just seems like an extra step to slide that thing out every time. I'm sure I could get quick with it, but the Passport keyboard is always at the ready, and I love the wide form factor now.

It's hard to compare Passport and Venice since they are (supposedly) running with two different OS's. But one thing for sure, based on my personal experience with N9000, one future problem of Venice is its mechanical part...

I was hoping that the Android interface of the Droidberry would be more on the Berry side lol. I really love the simple elegance of the BlackBerry 10 GUI. But from the hands-on video it looks to be free of bloatware and a lot more simplistic than other versions of Android. If I didn't already have the PP and a backup G3 I'd be totally interested in the Venice. I've loved sliders since the 9810

I personally feel like I compromise very little with the Passport. I have all the apps I need. Everytime I have had a problem getting a particular app, I have found a way to get what I needed. I am not the type that needs to install many apps after a couple mos of use. I have the base apps that I need. If I need a watch, I know I can get a Pebble steel watch.

I love the form fatcor of the Passport. It makes my Z30 feel so narrow. I love the flow of BB10. I hate using Android because it does not have gestures for navigation. Having a physical keyboard is so advantageous. No need to slide one down. I just the first 2 letters of any app I need and bam, universal search has it ready for me. The speakers, call quality, reception, and speakerphone are better than any device aside from the Z30 that I have ever used.

I have zero need for another device. I love my OG Passport. I certainly to not need what will be an overpriced Android slider device either.
