Is there ever a chance that Verizon adds the Passport to their offerings? You guys really have me leaning towards the Passport rather than the Priv. But I am thinking Verizon will never add the Passport. Any ideas?

If they haven't by now, I don't think they are going too. Phone is a year and a half old.

I know it was never going to be blockbuster selling phone, but it still would have helped their bottom line to make a version for Verizon. They came out with three different color OG's, an AT&T variant, and an SE. I don't how much more it costs to make it compatible, but one of those could have been for Verizon.

As much as I would have an enjoyed a Passport on VZWs network the fact is it is not up to BlackBerry. If VZW was not interested in running one on their network and purchasing stock from BlackBerry why would they build them?

Does this mean your current Passport will never run on VZWs network? No once they roll out VoLTE and allow unlocked phones on their network you should be able to provision your Passport on Big Reds network.

I would leave my carrier for the Passport, especially the Silver Edition haha.

Sorry, will stay only GSM would be my guess. I'd drop Verizon and get a GSM carrier if there is one in your area. Cricket (now owned by AT&T) is who I use, TMobile would be my second option. :-)

You can actually use the Passport on Cricket? I tried to take my Z10 there a year ago and they wouldn't accept it. Same with MetroPCS.

Not unless you root through BlackBerry's junk pile and find a prototype.

I had vzw and unlimited data, ended up switching to T-Mobile, was pleasantly waiting for the Priv and then realized I could get a Passport, and yes I went with the Passport.

Coverage isn't quite as great, and I haven't done any road trips yet, but I think I'll live.

I would definitely be interested in a Passport if it works with Cricket. More and more I am thinking that I am going to be really missing my BBOS if I go to the Priv.

Since I don't user Verizon, I don't really know anything about their phones and policies. Is Verizon issuing Sim cards now?

I have a business account with Verizon: very happy with service and pricing. Literally only one complaint which is that they don't seem to be very BlackBerry friendly. I bought my Classic in June and my rep (who is a top producer) said mine was the only one he sold all of 2015.
I would definitely give the Passport a test drive if it was available. Not sure why they take a niche brand with a cult following like of all of us and ignore it. Someone at Verizon thinks that's they way to go which sucks for the rest of us.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I have a personal account with VZW, and because of my employer (General Motors), I get a 21% discount...which (along with great coverage and customer service) is the reason I stay hooked to VZW. However, this does limit me and the devices I'd like very much to try...like the Passport. I have wanted a Passport SE forever, but I guess it's not in the cards.
