The classic would have worked better if I had the hands I did back in 3rd grade. The passport works better for my college sized hands if that makes sense.

Make the font of your device smaller. I did that on my Q10, allowed a lot more text to appear on the screen.

I am trying to decide between the Passport and the Classic. Power or form factor? So I thought I would visit this thread, and it seems like no one can decide.
Since I switched from the Bold 9900 to the Z10, my productivity has gone way down. I miss the keyboard, and the 9900 seemed perfect in every way except for the OS. I even had better success with the camera than on the Z10. If I had trouble viewing a web page, a menu item would let me seamlessly open it in the Playbook.
I picked up a Q10 and it was great to have a keyboard again until the 10.3 upgrade which made everything too small for my old eyes, so I stuck with the Z10.
Now I still don't know....
Classic should do the trick. It's like a souped up Q10. Or a mini Passport with a belt.
Having used both, I liked the Classic more. The Passport has bettery battery, performance and screen, but it's awkward to type one handed and difficult to carry.
Can the Passport replace a tablet? I use the Microsoft portable mouse and keyboard with the beautiful 5inch screen Leap. I'm only looking for a tablet replacement via BlackBerry for Web browsing.

Buy both. Buy a spare for each. Buy a Passport SE, buy an Original. Buy a white Classic and blue Classic. Buy a red Passport. Buy a Leap, and buy a white Leap - just for kicks. It's the ONLY sensible course of action.

I was with you until the white Leap. But then you didn't go far enough. What about Porsche Design or Q10, Z3, Z10 ...Bold, Torch...etc
Why you don't compare passport with Q5 Q10? They have very similar specs than classic, q5 has better dpi than classic...
I guess that classic isn't a new device it's a q5 with a bit more ram.

I have both... but I'm using passport.. what I miss the most on Classic is touch keyboard, camera and some faster cpu....
Classic would be for me better, but still to slow and tiny display... passport on other side too wide...
And why the hell is back arrow (button) at the left side and not at right side?! It's just impossible to use Passport with just one hand.. hate this!

I have used both classic and Passport.
I loved the form factor of classic, but it really didn't feel like a device of 2015.
The performance was also below par.
Then ordered passport and was blown away. The keyboard trackpad is awesome, and after using it when I take classic or Q10 in hand I miss the trackpad keyboard badly..
Passport is undoubtedly best phone available today!

Get the classic I'm returning my passport and going back to classic I had way to many problems with the passport and I had it for 5 days

What kind of problems?

You had a faulty device, no need to show your hatred towards a bad device in every thread bro. It can happen and I'm lucky enough to tell that I've never had one.

Both are not really satisfying. Classic is too slow and Passport is too large.
Oh yes, and BB10 is dead.
I think as all things it's a matter of preference. I consider the classic akin to my 9900 and was initially jazzed about it. I won on Ebay my Passport however and hadn't looked back (also was upgrading from a Z10).
I realized I was even two handing the Z and even my 9900, so the two handed thing is no big deal and it's more stable that way.
Also, me personally, I don't need to answer that quick on the fly. My opinion is the person can wait a minute. I don't think even the nuclear codes are sped as fast as those whom insist it's necessary to type with one hand only (which also reminds me of a leet phrase).
Regardless, having used the beast for a while, (OG) I like it. So it looks like I'm wearing a Tricorder on my hip, but it gets what I need done and efficiently.
I hope it doesn't burn out anytime soon cause I am not a fan of the Priv, the ios universe or Samsung.
But whatever...at the end of the day for me, it's just a communication device, and it's not that serious.

screen flicker two keyboard buttons getting stock back of device on one side loose... and I'm just trying to let people know the problems I had. So they don't go through it ohh the device won't wipe either it's stuck

I've never had the Classic although I've held one in an AT&T store. Nice phone. Very satisfying to hold one. I did have a Q10 and a Z10 though and just went to the Passport. I thought that I wouldn't like the bigger phone...but I was mistaken. I REALLY LIKE THE BIGGER PHONE!
