I was showing the Priv to my wife, who has a Z10, although she's not all that happy with some of the miscues BlackBerry has done, not the least of it being the lack of applications (and, no, the sketchy Android support hasn't made much of an impression, either). She's talking about getting an Android phone, so I thought the Priv might do it for her...but not so much.
Really, the Z10 still meets her needs, so she's not in the market for a new device.
I say this because, after we were talking about this, she said, "Don't you go buying another phone! You already have your Z10 and the other one (a Bold 9900) and you don't need another phone!" And I told her she was right. I have no desire to get a Priv (it is, after all, an Android phone, although I would like to see how it performs) but I told her that my Passport is all the phone I need...and I really can't see going back to a smaller (narrower) screen. The Passport is just the thing, and I'll never go back to a small screen again.

Best device I have used. Very happy with it
Very disappointing : typing not very responsive when switching between languages. Quite a few apps downloaded either from amozon or BlackBerry world, exp: wechat, Tencent news, POF, very irritated running them on BlackBerry SE., often stuck, screen dead, slow, I could barely tolerated even though I am super patient person. I have to restore those app use to Samsung Note 3, much faster and smoother. Also, the BlackBerry SE keyboard doesn't have emoto choices, also, the touch od keyboards feel great, but the real useful and fun function - emotional stickers missing, kind of sucks.
Got my BlackBerry SE when it came out, so far, about 3 months now, overall, not too satisfied, slow, missing quite a few apps or runs terribly that are important to me. I can't use it alone, still have to have Samsung with me all the time.

I second what JMDBERRY said!
I have had my SE Passport just one month. Each day I like it more. This is one powerful communication device like no other I think. I would still prefer a virtual keyboard if it were as innovative. There are many times that I would prefer a longer screen view. Some sites have big pictures that I can not scroll. I am somewhat angry that no development is being done on bb10 nor on android runtime which means no growth in the devices capacity. This kind of "dumping" of consumers is part of BlackBerry reputation now. I hope that ends with the move to Android. I hope the passport survives that switch.

Best phone ever! Hoping for a passport 2

I got my SE the day before yesterday and I must say it is an enjoyment to work with it. Suddenly, my highly appreciated Z10 appears old and narrow. The setup of the Passport was easy and the introduction program helped me to get quickly familiar with gestures and keyboard. In the meantime I typed a lot of texts and took dozens of photos under various circumstances. The camera is good and reliable with few exceptions. For instance, under not so good light conditions pictures look blurred like water colour paintings, particularly when you zoom then in and particularly with trees and leaves. Yet in 99% they are good. I own several cameras and have tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of photos on my hard disks and thus have some experience whether pictures are good or not. On the other hand the SE camera lits up dark situations much better than the Z10 camera. The more photos you take and share with others the less will be the fear of having a bad camera and joy will increase.
Also to be highly recommended is the ultra slim leather case by Tetded or other companies. When I close it the SE shuts down automatically and when I open it the SE is there again within one or two seconds. Cool.

Late to the Passport game. Just received mine in the mail Monday and I have to say I'm very pleased with the phone. I was on the hunt for a phone to get away form iOS/Windows phones and decided on a Passport after 2 hours of Google searching. I pulled the pin and ordered one on good faith and some stellar video reviews. Day one at the office and everyone was online reading their provider contracts looking to see if they get out from under their non BB phone:)
Looking forward to using it in public to see if I get the stares that people talked about on the lines when they use their BB in a social setting :)
"you looking at me?"

Can anyone recommend a bumper style case for the Passport? Just looking to protect the edges and keep the bulk at a bare minimum.
@ glenn siegrist: No matter what case you're going to choose, watch the small differences in size between original Passport and SE.

Yep really love my passport.
Because :
- that screen is so bright and wide. The tactile screen is so responsive. It's a joy to read mails, texts and web pages.
- the capacitive keyboard is so cool. I find myself swipping on the keys while surfing on the web on my Q10 !
- everything run so smoothly ! No lags and waiting while i'm on that beast.
- not specifically with only the passport but the Hub is a thing. Every one that try it just find it too useful. I was an android user before, mostly on Sony Xperias, but switch on blackberry Q5 as a replacement phone. I gave my Xperia to a relative and now I'm an exclusive blackberry user.
- all the shortcuts and smartsearch just blow my mind. Everything is thought to be productive and so simple to use.
- I love the bb10 background : the gesture navigation... but really appreciate all the google apps working there (many thanks to Cobalt for his great work ! ).
-this phone is a beast ! I let it fell from 3-4 feet on a hard paved street and just a tiny scratch !
- that fat battery life !
Ok but there's one ****...
This beast is huge ! I have a Q10 while on the go because I really want to use my BlackBerry one handed in the hood.
Each time I did I really appreciate my Q but lack the power and the reading confort of my P.

After a year, I'm still satisfied with it as when I first got it.

used my passport for a year, great great phone, however, the form was just not cutting it for me as i became more 'on the move' needed a one handed operation, now i use a classic and not looking back. I do wish they come with a classic 2 with faster internals though.
Couldn't be happier. Nothing beats the typing experience of a Passport SE.

After six months I still like it, but flicking typing was faster on my Z10.

Can't live without my passport, the priv however does look promising but I will stick with my passport for at least another year or two unless they come up with a new passport with new upgrades.

Love this beast soo much that I am getting the red one too!!

Actually I'm getting more satisfied the longer I'm with it.
After one year of intense use the battery is still long lasting, the keyboard is still clicky and perfect and BB10 is still the No.1 OS to get things done.
No need to buy a priv, at least not with that price tag. I'll just wait how the reviews will pan out and whether BlackBerry will be able to fix the problems with the hub on android!

I like it but I'm on my 5th Passport since christmas, 2 got water spilt on them so mu fault but everyone has had the screen lift on them, some worse than others. The whole metal frame seems to twist very easily which I assume causes the screen lift as it's not glued on very well.
Posted via CB10
I didn't have screen lift on mine! Twist??? Really? What do you use your phone for.
Jaglenn's Passport
yes sure !!
It's very handy as a hammer, didn't you know.
