I want to update using my 4G and not over WiFi, first of all because it's much faster. But when I started the update with WiFi turned off, it wouldn't update and told me the file is too large to be downloaded over 4G. I'm allowed 10gb a month so 402mb isn't so 'large'. Does anyone know how I can bypass this issue ? Thanks.

Your provider sets the rules on the limits of a mobile update. It is separate from your monthly allowance.

Interesting to know that's provider controlled. as my BlackBerry was purchased direct, what limit exists? I agree it's irritating, I normally end up using another handset as a hotspot so I ultimately get it over 3G/4G anyhow so it's a bit stupid.

It doesn't matter where you bought the phone. The limit is set by your provider. You know, that tiny little piece of plastic you shove into your phone for it to connect to a network?
