Just wondering if any tradespeople have got a Passport? Considering making the jump from my Bold 9900 (with Seidio holster) and was wondering if the size was an issue on worksites?

I just got one. I am an IT tech and work in the field. I do occasionally work in new construction sites. I think it would be a little big but I am not sure. The classic might be better.

I use mine to view service manuals in pdf format, sending customers emails etc. I have a protective case and holster and find this is awesome for my trade use.

I am a Millwright. I have been using BlackBerry for over a decade in the trade. The Passport is hands down the finest BlackBerry to date. With the hard shell and Ghost Armor Screen protector it is pretty darn tough. I am on the shop floor in a very dirty environment, machine shop for electric motors. Lots of copper, cast iron, steel and aluminum particles in the air. As well as strong Electro-Magnetic fields. They all have held up pretty good.

The Passport also fits in most chest pockets of Fire Retardant Coveralls. If it's gonna get really dirty in the shop, slip it into a ZipLoc bag. All the functions work.

Sweet....... thanks mate !! Merry Xmas to you too

Just tried topbuy.com.au and they don't list the Passport any longer. Best price in Oz is here via shopbot and guess what?.... Its topbuy.

    Go figure.

Amazon is about $20 cheaper. The AUD/USD drop is hurting right now.

Yeah I think topbuy.com.au search doesn't show anything for some reason, I found it by doing a Google search, came up as first link.
So did you bite the bullet??
