Will there be a way for me to get an unlocked version of this phone to use with T-Mobile USA?

You can't get it through Amazon currently as it is not available. Mine should be coming in from Amazon tomorrow though. I have TMO USA and will let you know how it works on the network when I get a chance to get a new nano sim.

The phone fully supports T-Mobile bands, and even supports their LTE, too. It should work perfectly.

Yep, I am hoping this is the case. I have never had problems with bringing unlocked phones to their network. Only problem I ever had was on my Nokia N9. It thought I was using the old web2go data service they used to offer. But T-Mobile fixed that issue pretty quick.

Yup got mine this morning and it works fine, only thing is you need to get a nano SIM card from T-Mobile to use it if your last phone doesn't have one (mine did not - Z30).

Did they charge you for the sim? I needed a new sim from nano to micro for my Oneplus One I got several months back. They charged me $10 for the switch.

Not to my knowledge, but I did have unlimited plan so it transferred over.

In my area they were completely sold out of nano SIMs so they actually cut one down for me in the store.

Hey Sophace does your wifi-calling work? That is going to be the number one question from anyone on t-mo.

Will be a shock if it does. TMO's policy, currently, is to not allow on any but models they support.

This ^ we need a tmo person to answer this asap, as I know people holding out until they hear the answer..

Well, the answer right now is no. But why don't you go over on the T-Mo forum and ask, there's a passport thread running there.

Same as above, no wifi calling for now. The official line has been no wifi calling for any of the phones they don't support. It doesn't work on my passport but probably makes sense to talk to T-Mobile about it.

I had no idea about this, I have had my wifi on and I just assumed the calls were going through wifi. Glad I have an unlimited plan. Thanks for the info.

Minor note that the phone doesn't support LTE Band 12. Not a big deal for most, but it is what it is.
