I sync'd my blackberry passport to my car today and found a couple cool things! The first was a nice splash screen with some info and vehicle logo. Now the second thing is showing me blackberry is using their head. The added a short cut in the phone book that activates blackberry assistant. I noticed a contact that I did not add called "bb assistant" so i clicked on it and it even showed a weird number so I pressed call and it asked what would I like to do. Whoever thought of that was a smart person. Ios8 doesn't do that in my car you would have to physically touch the phone to activate siri.... Looks like apple will be stealing this idea soon.

Cool find! VW uses QNX, so that probably explains the integration. Not sure how similarly it would work on my Chevy, but I will update accordingly when I get my Passport eventually.

Ah okay I never knew they used qnx. Ill play a bit more with it today and post my findings.

I'm running 10.3 on my Z10, and also driving a VW. Noticed all the same things you did. It's really nice. One issue I have found though, is an issue when using BBA with voice-guided navigation over BT. Have you tried that?

The Assistant could always be activated in any car but it wasn't as clear. After you synced the phone with any Bluetooth car, you just have to say Call 999-555-1234 OR Call BlackBerry Voice Assistant and it activates the assistant. This will work on 10.2 as well.

I get the assistant in my phone book with my 2012 Vauxhall Zafira. Just don't get the "connected to..." screen on my phone. I've always had this since the Z10

In my car you can just hold down the call button on the steering wheel and the assistant comes up.
