Doesn't it come with two different sized nesting pieces?

    Passport and 10.3.1.1154
No only comes with one. But as others have said without the nesting piece the Passport will fit if you have hard shell case on but it's not very solid ie pretty flimsy and could damage the charging port of the Passport and synch pod.

Other than that it's pretty nice and minimal, sadly it doesn't light up like previous synch/charging pods.

Here are a few. Pics taken with my Z10 but, as you can see, I'm not much of a photographer!

My first impressions are that it is very dinky, has a nice weight to it, the phone slips in and out of it quite easily and the bottom has a nice soft non-slip finish.

It is small enough to be included in your travel bag so I could well be tempted to buy another one!

Thanks for the pics! Can you take a side picture with the passport in and without the plastic insert installed?

How would you use this unit without the nesting piece?

I'm guessing this would work with the z30 and z3 too

I'm guessing with a different phone you get different nest inserts.

    Great photos!! Thanks.

I can use my Passport without the insert buts it's very flimsy ie I have the hard shell case and when u slot it in its not very stable. With the insert you cannot use the hard shell case but it's sturdier with the insert.

Just plugged my slimport HDMI adapter into the sync pod then connected to TV, docked my passport and low and behold it displays on TV and I can plug my charger into the slimport adapter and charge at the same time.

Bit of a workaround and not sure if there's a simpler way but it now functions just like my Z10 dock.

I was hoping someone was going to try that. That is the way that I expected it to work.

If the dock had slimport built in it probably would have cost more.

Just wondering, does it effect your battery health if you keep your phone on the charging dock for like 6 to 8 hours even when it's fully charged?

I sit at my office and keep my passport on the sync dock the whole day.

Been looking online for sometime and no straight answer for my concern... was hoping that someone here would enlighten me with such puzzling matter!

So I've read here that with the hard shell on, one has to use the dock without the insert and it is not very stable. Have anyone tried to use the dock without the insert for months? Does it work fine without abusing the phone's port too much?

    Thanks.

Thanks. I've ordered my cradle eventually. It works very well without a case, but I don't think I would use it with a hard shell on. I wish BlackBerry could come up with inserts for its own cases at least or several sizes or perhaps with some foaming.

I was able to get one months ago on Amazon US. It's great. I love it.
