holding down the power button during a security wipe doesnt seem to stop it for me. Do you recommend a battery pull?
I had to press volume down and volume up at same time for the autoloader to recognize for me and have it work. Had the same thing - security wipe had been going on for over 24 hours.

And we still defending BB10 OS for being one of the best mobile phone OS when the basic 'security wipe' is not even basic...

Honestly, I'm really wondering what BlackBerry is thinking for designing such long 'security wiping' process...

Has to be some kind of bug. Every percent took exponentially longer than the previous percent. I'm sure whatever the hell it was doing, it was doing it more thoroughly than any other phone.

I had the same issue on my Passport. I guess it's a bug for Passport only because it never took that long to wipe my Classic, Z30, or Q10 before.

Use autoloader to interrupt security wipe.

Lost my patience after 6 hours at 98%. Power button wasn't responsive. Did a battery pull. Got a BlackBerry 10 OS error codes - US error message which isn't even listed as an option on BlackBerry's support forums. Did another battery pull and the phone initiated a wipe. When it finished it connected to the autoloader and now everything is good.

edit: Looks like I got the error code because I restarted without the battery in it.

Last month, the "longest security wipe" time ever recorded is more than 2 weeks and it is still stuck at 99%!

That should break any record in Guinness World Records for the 'longest mobile phone security wipe time'... including the 'most patience person in the world'...

Conite helped me with my issue, stuck at 96% for nearing two days with the latest auto-loader but for my own knowledge, how does one do a NUKE- a? Is their a thread? benefits or just some have to do so? Debated? Anybody?

I wanted to do the OTA (originally before I realized I needed a wipe to start clean) which the Over The Air for sure read 1.6gb update- but the one Conite gave me in which I am going to try to load in a moment of 10.3.3 is 1.4.xxGB. Wonder why 'but long as it works!....

Hopefully Conite will prevail again FOR ME ONCE AGAIN, maybe I will get a OTA update as in a small one afterwards to make it to the 1.6gb hence why there was a difference between the autoloader size (1.4GB) for my passport se and the OTA update being 1.6gb ....
