What is on your wish list for specs? As a passport, will this have dual sim slots?

IIRC, dual-SIMs are popular in emerging markets where carrier tariff issues mean that folk carry multiple handsets ... Dual SIMs simplify that.
I don't reckon the Passport is aimed at those markets, so... No, it won't IMO.

I don't know why we'd write a "wish list" at this point. Specs are already known.

Dual-SIM is awesome when company makes you carry their phone fro no obvious reason. Seven years ago I was with three cellphones and after that I said never, ever again.

Of course you are screwed when they take you on Verizon or Sprint but that's why god invented call forwarding

Dual SIM is not only interesting to emerging market it is very interesting to business markets too, as most of the professionals have at least two phones in their pockets. It would be a very strong plus on a high-end phone. keep your users on the same platform instead of them getting a cheap second phone.

Only emerging markets?? Don't you think that many corporates carry two lines also? Business line and a personal one?

Why do we need to carry two devices all the time, if BlackBerry is trying to ace enterprise then a very high end dual sim should be released.

You are right, but you are limited to only one phone number.
You cannot have a corporate number and a personal number.

Balance does not work on 2 sims!! It works on 2 accounts same line!!

Companies issue company lines for their executives, lines that do not stop ringing!

I usually shut my work line off on weekends and use my personal line for my social life.

I carry 2 phones would love to have one with dual sim.

I had a contract with orange 15 years ago where I had 2 numbers on one sim. It's very simple thing, as is having a phone with 2 sims.
Seems carriers quietly dropped those type of contracts and as the business of selling phones is mainly about selling contracts - Dual sim phones do not fit in with the marketing model. Why would they sell a phone with a contract with a spare sim slot so the buyer could have another contract/payasyou go sim with a rival, and when they can make so much money from roaming charges?
Dual sim phones are sought after by people who commuter between countries or have close family abroad. Spare sim slot is great for slipping in a local sim card or using specialist international call sims which offer international calls for 10% of the cost.
