Nano-sim... really? : /

The power source is so that you can charge the phone at the same time

The more I see the more I'm impressed. But it's not for me, I prefer a smaller phone and a large tablet. But for its target audience I think it will be a big hit. Who knows, it might make me a convert to the mini-tablet/phone hybrid concept. It's such a unique size I can't wait to actually hold one.

What's wrong with nano-SIM? At least I can go back and forth now between blackberry and iPhone without needing to re-provision my SIM each time.

LED FTW, black = black.
They don't actually need an external power source, that just gives people options if they are using the hdmi functionality of the slimport.
Realistically, most people are more likely to be replacing one dongle with a different type of dongle than one cable with two, but in any case it is about companies wanting to reduce both costs and potential points of failure too.
That is great for you, but far more people use phones that take a micro rather than nano, so it is to be expected to see some complaints about that change, particularly since this is a fairly large device where that little bit of saved space is not overly significant.
Yea.. same.. hope it can charge + hdmi at the same time.. is it hdmi or mhl?
Bahh, the chip is the same and cheap 99 cent adapters can be bought. Micro can be cut into Nano
Search for nanosim-adapter...easy stuff....

People, stop saying MHL when it's actually Slimport. The big difference is that Slimport doesn't require external power, and power cables being optional to charge while displaying.

I thought micros were also slightly thicker than nanos so the transition from micro to nano was not simple like it was with the move from sims to micros?
Not an issue in Germany as all the main carriers offer multisim to their customers so you can have both on the one account. :D
Isn't Pirelli better then Ferrari?
LCD is a display technology, LED is only an illumination technology. It's used for rear illumination of the LCD panel.
Maybe you thought of "OLED" o "AMOLED". Well, they are better because they are more efficient, but it's hard to get high DPI.
And many don't like that under bright sun it's hard to see.
Price point is most likely the reason for only using 32GB as the standard, given Blackberry typically does not make different versions of the same phone with different storage sizes.
Tyty
Simplifies the docking options... note that this is the second BB device with its port centered on the bottom...
Must have mircast? Anyone with any info
Mr A Hanif BlackBerry10
I'm 99.99% sure it supports miracast. It'd be foolish if it didn't.
The nano-sim make the Passport less attractive for me
disappointed in the LCD but everything else is fine, still a winner in my books
