I got my original Passport soon after it came out. Feeling quite sluggish (switching between apps, waiting for photo thumbnails, waiting for autocomplete/search of email addresses, waiting for search results) and the battery is draining too fast.

Would reloading the OS make things better? Any other suggestions?

Same here! the phones good but battery performance has suffered! I mean its ok but I cant get a full day under heavy usage anymore! Guess the battery doesn't hold its charge like it once did!

It's not so much about the OS being up to date, as being a fresh installation. Update the OS OTA to ensure backup compatibility, back everything up however you do that, then reinstall the OS by hooking it up to a Windows PC running Link and selecting 'Restore'. Then reload your backup. My experience is you should only need to do this every year or two, way better than Android.
