Haven't used it for 24 hours. Just fully charged it and left it at the desk. It was connected to WiFi and 3G throughout with location services on. 3 email accounts set to sync at 1 hour intervals.

I had the same problems previously when I installed Android apps. I do a factory reset and NO Android apps install. it solved the heat and battery drain issues since last February until now. Roughly about 16 hrs of moderate use before charging and I left about 20%. I have 4 mails to sync with 2 hrs sync interval. 12 BBM grps. Whatsapp, FB, Twitter and Linkin. I am very satisfied with my Black OG Passport. Bravo BlackBerry.

Unfortunately some productivity and work related applications are only available on the android app store like Facebook pages manager, Waze for traveling, Viber for communicating etc

Oh and one of the most important app quick books isn't on BlackBerry world.

My 2nd phone is OnePlus One, Android phone. I installed the apps that I can't get it at BB World. I like the combination of Passport & OnePlus. This will solve my apps gap then.

I have an iPhone 6s as a second phone as well, but I didn't want to mix work and personal phones. Would really prefer to keep all work data on the BlackBerry. I guess Priv is an option but Passport has killer looks and feel in my opinion and the hub on the native OS is gold. These trade offs are frustrating.

Mine hasn't restarted yet but I'm planning to reset the phone once again and try to stay clean from android apps.

I have the AT&T variant of the Passport and thinking of switching to the Silver Edition. Seeing that the SE is causing all these problems I am hesitant now. My Passport gives me absolutely no problems.

I think it's with the new device and software update settling in. Take note that it lacks wireless charging, which is super cool to have.

Hi! I have been having this battery drain issue for the last couple of days. I noticed that the Passport Silver tends to overheat. I don,t think it is normal to go to bed at 60% battery level and when I woke up, 8 hours later, it was down to...6% with the led blinking asking for charger. I uninstalled all Android apks, did two resets, nothing works. Should I back up and restore? Before that I noticed that the battery life got significantly shorter. Any advice?

    Get a OG

This Silver has it's problems with battery and heating. I had on some time but I went back now just for this reason.... and of course. I find it looks cooler

Give it a try and you will be satisfied

I am sorry, I don't know what an OG is. Could you elaborate, please? Thank you.

OG is short for Original Black PP rather than the ATT or SE versions.

Thank you. I didn't know that. But, really, I think I'll move on to iOS, been trying one, a medium range 5c, and I enjoyed it. Stable and fast, no hiccups. An example of a good OS and a serious company. Cheers!

^ to each his own. imho iphones are toys.
Each phone has its issues. Some more serious as you have seen with the note 7. The iphones are often way under juiced so from my experience the user needs to charge mid day.

I have had two original passports with no complaints. Best device I have ever owned. Can't speak for the silver edition.

Anyway everyone needs to make a choice and try other systems if they feel. I know I am waiting for BlackBerry to smooth out their android experience before I make the move.

Close runnning background apps in the cpu tab under device manager and also under apps permission disable running apps when minimized.
