That's what I thought so, too. Probably some loose battery connection. But it's not user-replaceable so unless you have advanced knowledge of these things, I suggest you see a technician to assess the problem.
I think, not becaused of battry connector... I had try it last year

Wipe does not work. Don't waste your time doing it.
I'm going through the same problem, did a couple of wipes but never worked for me. I'm just living with it until the KEYone is out.

I've now owned 2 x Z10, 2 x Z30, 1 x Q10 and 1 x Passport (black). Every single one restarted itself from time to time. A volume button reset seems to temporarily reduce the frequency, if it got to the point of several per day. I had fixed the poor battery fit on the Z and Q10s.

I used to own Android phones. They have a more annoying habit of appearing to be OK, when in fact the OS has actually fallen over in some way and requires to be manually rebooted. If we had iPhones, we'd need a CO2 extinguisher to hand in case the worst happened, so I live with the occasional reboots.

I think your device is defect. I have it one last month, I replaced the LCD because LCD was broken. And solved it

Reload your system OS with an Autoloader and make a full wipe install. I think it's a software bug

My Passport has been periodically re-starting itself since I bought it 2 years ago - perhaps once every 2 to 3 weeks.

Prior to that, my BlackBerry Torch would do the same thing.

Of late, my battery has not been lasting as long. In another thread, posts have indicated that this may be related to recent OS updates.

I think it becased of short or malfunction component. Check the hardware.

I have the same problems. 45% when it's charging and always charge it at nighr and next day i must input my sim pin. 20% between using it just when it's 98-100% and 25% just waiting to get used and sometimes I see it restarting on the table or sofa. 10% when using it in hand.

:/ not good to read that.

I Deload my battery to 0% and then my Passport shutdown. Good. Than I charge my battery only to 95%. No restart. I think it's a hardware / battery bug or a software issue.

It's a blackberry issue. Sometimes my keyboard also sometimes stops working. A reset solves it.

I'm allready thinking to buy a new passport but that will not solve my problem. They should made the os bug free.

I like to wait for the keyone, but seems a long run before that one comes out.

i,m having the same troubles with my new passport se. Problems began the next day after I purchased the phone. The first and second time the passport rebooted itself was during a BBM dialogue.
Blackberry service told me that the phone was probably crashing due to the OS conflicting with an app, in this particular case the messenger app.
However, later that day the phone rebooted itself when I was changing the brightness settings.
I am currently running OS version 10.3.2.2474 and BBM version is 10.14.6.9 if that does any good.
I did a security reboot just now and fingers crossed hoping it won't crash. I highly doubt the cause of the reboots are apps.
Very frustrating issue seeing as I bought the phone for it bulletproof reliability.

With any of my devices, that I've had this happen, it's always been power button getting pushed/stuck in my pocket or because of the phone case.
