Can I get recommendations on a car mount for the SE with the official Leather flip case still attached to the Passport? I had the Black Passport and used the iOttie XL and official leather flip (tan and black) and it just squeezed in. It is too tight now.

Suggestions?

Try ProClips. They have the absolute sturdiest and best fitting cases I've seen. I had an original Passport and had a ProClip. Fit great. When I lost it and grabbed the AT&T variant, I had to reorder the holder since the AT&T version is bigger. It fits perfectly. I believe you can chose one that will fit a device with a case. They'll probably have the SE version or the AT&T version may work well.

Proclip is fantastic for the OG I had but I don't think the a&t version holder will fit the SE. I think the grooves that the device slides in would be different.

My car is a 2009 BMW 3 series.

I had to modify it a little because the cd slot is not one uniform width. This involved removing the rubber on the two outer 'prongs'. Now it slots in nicely and integrates into the dash well.

Can confirm this.

Had an OG Passport with a Proclip. Now I have an SE and while I can jam it in there and it'll fit I don't like the idea of doing that on a regular basis.

However we have found that our basic holder for the AT&T version has a marginal fit.

We recommend using a small felt pad inserted into the holder grooves to firm up the fit.
