By the time I sent it up to them by courier and back again (insured), it was just shy of $300.

I am using the Diamond clear screen protector which costs only two or three dollars. It may or may not necessary for a cornering 3 screen, but the diamond effect looks nice when the phone is in sleep mode.

Picking one up from skinomi. Still have the original protector on my phone until arrives. My experience with all gorilla glass is that over time they always get minor scratches over time. Love skinomi as they are easy to install and look great.

I was on the fence... I did have a ZAGG HDX screen protector on my AT&T BlackBerry Passport (which did have a little bubble that was driving me crazy anyway), but I had to get a warranty replacement on my phone (due to defective battery, so I would have had to have gotten a new protector if I wanted one)... only to find out that ZAGG no longer carries the HDX for my phone.

So I just ordered SEIDIO | VITREO Tempered Glass Screen Protector for BlackBerry Passport (AT&T Version)

Rationalizing it's better be safe today rather than wishing I played it safe tomorrow.

so, in conclusion, people should get one screen protector to protect the screen from sand scratches even when passport is made up with Gorilla Corning 3 Technology. Am I right?

I keep mine in a clam shell / leather flip combo case, but no screen protector. They're too much of a pain in the arse, and a weekly treatment with CleanSeal not only makes it shine like new but also removes any of those tiny barely visible surface scratches you get from wiping the screen with toilet paper, your sleeve, etc. And glass feels nicer than plastic and is easier to keep free of marks and smears.

I use mine with a BlackBerry screen protector. I'm a better safe than sorry guy at times. I noticed quite a scratch last week on my screen. Don't know where it happened but I'm very glad I had the screen protector. I can always replace it more easily and cheaply than I can my Passport screen!

NO. I haven't used a screen protector on anything in years. Unless you are just really rough with your devices, it's completely unnecessary. Take proper precautions and all is good. I have no scratches or marks on mine.

I never use them. All my phones have remained nice screens without a screen protect. I say don't use them.

A scratch on your screen protector? I'm laughing myself silly now.

I am a firm believer in "better safe than sorry". I frequently drop my phones so I never go anywhere without a cover/screen protector combo. Have never had a cracked or scratched screen yet

I always use a scene protector on my BlackBerry. Currently using one of those tempered glass screen protectors. Absolutely love it. No bubbles - very easy to apply. And I can take it off and put it back on when needed. I'm not really rough on my devices - but just in case - is always better to me than oops! Peace...

Yes it is. I dropped my phone today face down on concrete and the screen protector looked horrible. When I peeled it off, my screen was looking like the day I first got it. I don't even want to imagine what my phone would have looked like if I didn't have one on. I know I would have been devastated.

Never used any screen protectors on any of my phones, but I used always a pouch type case and now a flip top case for my passport in order not to have the screen exposed in coins, keys etc while storing it in my pocket.

Looking to get a screen protector for my passport because sand does scratch the screen (so I've found out) and I'm a perfectionist and it bothers me. It's light but noticeable about 25-30' viewing angles and thankfully not at all at 90'.
