Wish there was not on any blackberry phone to my knowledge. They need that feature though big time.

Disagree. Those features are spotty at best.

I'm at 50%, and it works under almost call circumstances. Never changed it since I got it.

BlackBerry 10 has always had auto brightness. Every single device. It's always on. It's also one of the best implementations of auto brightness I have ever seen.

You never noticed that no matter what condition the screen is always at the same 'brightness' to you? The slider is also just the control of the auto brightness, which is why even in extremely low brightness you will never be able to go as low as an iPhone IF you are in a well lit room.

Awesome! So well engineered, that almost nobody seems to know the Passport has auto-brightness! That's cool! Thanks for the correction!

Through the day probably full but at night at the minimum to 1/4. Gets me through the day just fine with lots of battery to spare. I'm actually quite impressed with how long I can go on a charge....

Maybe my phone is broken but it has not worked well for me in the sun. Maybe it has to be set on a certain level as before recently I always kept mine at 0.

I usually keep mine at about 20% but when I go to show someone a photo or something on my screen (usually outside) I crank the brightness way up. You've gotta love how useful the Quick Settings are!!!

100% for me. The older you get, the more light you need to read I think. Anyway, typically this is a battery killer but I can easily get thru a long day on a charge. That's with WiFi and location services running all the time too.

P.S. I was playing around with it and although I could probably reduce it to 60% and be fine, I guess now I'm used to the brightness. Since I charge my phone every night, guess it doesn't really matter. If I use 100% on any other phone, I'd be lucky to make it thru a work day.

25% for me. More than bright enough. Occasionally I bump it up, but inside I really don't need it brighter.

Having a screen bright enough in the direct sunlight is extremely demanding. For that you will need to increase the brightness somewhat!
Consider that at 0 you are telling the phone you want battery life over brightness. It is still automatic but you control the threshold

Always this brightness. If I go in the sun I pump it to 50%.

Yes, Passport has auto brightness. If I am sitting in the dark and take a puff of my cigarette my screen will brighten to match the higher light the sensor picked up.

Mine is set at 50%, I think it's the best balance of comfort and battery life.
I get about 12 hours at this setting under hard use.

At 75% or higher, I find it uncomfortable since it's too bright for me.

I have it all the way to the lowest setting, put it like that as soon as it came out the box, for me I am able to use and see the screen in direct sunlight Completely fine. The only time I ever turn the brightness up to about half way is if I am watching a film or on netflix.

I have to yet to have a day where my Passport actually goes completely dead on me. This battery is absolutely a powerhouse and seems to be able to go on forever. This is probably one of the greatest advantages to this device. I feel such a sense of privilege using it! Typing on this thing is such a joy too that I find that when I make posts on the CrackBerry forums, I tend to overwrite for the pure sake of typing!
