Bottom line: IF you live in an area where LTE band 13 AND VoLTE are available, it might work. If you find yourself on 3G/2G a lot, you won't be happy with your service.

Telus won't sell it off contract for a week, thats the difference. You can only buy it outright from Telus online, so you might as well buy it cheaper unlocked from BB if you are going to get it shipped.

I called them yesterday day some stores wont sell it off contract and some will, ill try my luck at 10am pst then if they wont sell me any then ill order one

CDMA is a dying standard really. Only two carriers (and their MVNOs) make use of it here, one (Sprint) hasn't been supporting BlackBerry at all and doesn't really like letting anyone else's hardware connect to their network. The other (VZW) has LTE bands 4 and 13 available in most areas that anyone cares about with VoLTE available. I'm not surprised they haven't got a CDMA variant *at this time*. The rest of the world's customers are a higher priority than one American provider's.
