Is there any way / any list so the we can down load proper working android app on our loved Passport?

Trying different app is too much time consuming.

We can build app list together.

Just use Cobalt's Play Store. It will prevent you from downloading apps that require Android 4.4 and above. It will also ensure you have the correct architecture and dpi variant.

Cobalt's file share (download to PC and move files over to device):

    https://mega.nz/#F!lIUWjSSQ!yoLoiNX3PNG3Sef1Fa_fMA

    Install and login with 4.3.3.

    Install and register with 2.8.

    Install Play Store v6 build2.

***Stop here if all you want is Play Store

    Install Play Services v11.

Install 4.4.4 (but don't open after)

Install Play Games v5 (if desired).

    Install whitelist 1.0.0.6.

***If an app requires Google Play Services, then:

Download app with Cobalt's Play Store (but don't install).
    Whitelist unpatched app.
Patch app on PC with Play Services Patcher 1.6 using defaults settings.

    Install patched app.

In my case BB10 Messenger is not working but FB is working. If you update then you may have problem. But I need Devnagari / Hindi / Marathi keyboard so i am using Android based FB Lite with Swift Key as keyboard.

What do you think about Aptoide? Is it safe?

IMHO probably. I used to use it quite a bit but found that it was draining my battery even with notifications off. I eventually go rid of it. If I were you, I would use APKmirror. That app store would probably be the safest outside of Google Play.

Now I'm a little bit confused. What's with cobalt's play store? I thought it's similar. At the moment I'm using a mix of bb world, aptoide and direkt apk's from apkmirror.
    Thanks!

I would like to say that I have been testing the Firefox Beta for a few days and not without issue but I have to say that the experience has been stellar. I have been able to access websides with ease that have plaqgued my Passport with problems. Even when browsing the pages just seem to flow better. I did try to download and use the latest Firefox but it kept crashing.
The beta I am using is:

    org.mozilla.firefox_beta.2015520849

Perhaps you can find it at F-Droid or APK Mirror. Give it a chance to load up properly and use it for a few days and let us know if it works for you

I tried installing Firefox on my new Passport from the 1Mobile app store today. I think it was v59. But I couldn't use it much, as it kept crashing.

So then I went to downloadapk.net and downloaded Firefox from there. The APK I downloaded said it was v47, but in the About Firefox it shows it at v55.0.2.

I've been playing with this version all day and even set up Firefox sync and it works great. Haven't experienced a single crash so far, and also installed the Adblock Plus add-on.

Have to say, the Passport is so much faster at loading Android apps than I remember on my old Z30 and Classic. It really does have great performance.
